Cyber Monday was a big hit and the sale is extended today on TpT for Cyber Tuesday.  If you need products for your classrooms (such as holiday activities, special book reports, PowerPoints, and more) then visit TpT or my personal store at TpT:  http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Tonya-Davis.

Very Excited About the Cyber Monday and Tuesday Sale on TpT

While it's true that I'm a seller on TpT and I was very happy to sell many of my products today, I was really happy to explore the quality materials that other teachers are placing on the website.  I have seen lots of wonderful ideas that I find very inspirational.  The www.teacherspayteachers.com website is more than a website to buy and sell products; it is a place for teachers to share best practices and to help each other.  This, in turn, helps students all over the world.  It really is a small world after all!

A Huge Sale on TpT for Cyber Monday (& Tuesday)

Save big at my store and other teachers' stores at www.teacherspayteachers.com on Cyber Monday (& Tuesday)!  Individual stores like mine will be offering up to 20% savings (I'm offering the maximum) and then TpT will be offering additional savings.  This is the best time of year to purchase all of your TpT products--from holiday activities, to lesson plans, to center activities, and so much more.  Don't miss out on this huge event.

My store is located at www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Tonya-Davis.  Check it out!  I have several free items that are available with a click of a button.

Sorry I've Been Gone for So Long!

Well, this has been the longest I have ever gone without writing a post.  Unfortunately, I got flu-like symptoms twice within 10 days.  With the second round, I had a fever of over 102 for 3 straight days and ended up having to go to the E.R. because I was extremely dehydrated.
I started feeling much better this time last week, but I have been busy posting products and catching up in the forums on www.teacherspayteachers.com.  It is amazing how far behind you get after being sick for so long.   I plan on staying "on top of things" from now on.
Soon, I will be posting some of the products I have created for my TpT store on here.  Some of the products are free and others are reasonably priced.

Thank you, TpT!

I love being a part of TpT  (www.teacherspayteachers.com).  It is truly a community of teachers routing for and supporting other teachers.  This week, one of my free products, was posted in the newsletter.  As a result, the PowerPoint was downloaded over 3,000 times.  It is a tool that really helped my students; I hope that it will help other students across the country (and perhaps in other parts of the world).  Click on the link if you would like to view the free PowerPoint.  I'd Like Some FRIES with That!  I'd love to hear from you if you use the tool in your classroom!

I'm so happy for one of my former students!!!

Today, I got one of those sweet compliments that makes all the hard work we put in as teachers worth it.  A former student of mine just got hired as ESPN-U.   The girls' mother put this post on Facebook:  "Well I just got the news- my girl is officially a reporter for ESPN- U ! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU !! You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to !"
I then responded by writing:  "Yay!!! Okay, as her 6th grade language arts teacher, I have 2 things to say: 1) I'm not surprised 2) I bet she never thought writing all of those papers could turn into something so lucrative!"  Then, my former student responded by saying, "Writing has always been my strong point, and it started with YOU!"  What a nice compliment.  I am smiling from ear to ear and I am so so happy for my former student.  Hooray!
